🌼श्रावण भाद्र माह २०२६ - भाग १ आणि २ Shravan–Bhadrapad Month 2026 - Part 1 & 2

🌼Shravan Month (Part 1)
Vishnu is in a state of sleep, while Shiva is the destroyer; Shiva represents strictness and the enforcement of consequences according to one's actions. Therefore, during Shravan, one should have a controlled diet consisting of fruits. This period, including Shravan and Ganapati, is a time when the growth of living organisms increases and there is a greater risk of harmful infections.
Since the digestive system can become disturbed, during this period one should not eat non-vegetarian food, fried food, roasted food, or partially cooked food. (Chinese junk food.)
Since Shiva is the destroyer, it is appropriate to symbolically offer Shivamuth to the household Shiva lingam to calm and pacify him. The offerings are: 17/8 – rice; 24/8 – black sesame seeds; 31/8 – green gram; 7/9 – wheat or barley. This is appropriate because there is a possibility of infection in crowded temples. It is also appropriate to donate a small quantity of these food items on the respective day.
Throughout this entire period, one should make greater use of leafy vegetables, wild vegetables such as pointed gourd, ivy gourd, and colocasia, cucumber, wild fruits, and vegetables associated with banana plants.
During this period, if our energy is spent or utilized in performing Budha Puja, Brihaspati Puja, Mangala Gaur Puja, Satyanarayan Puja, Shiva Puja, Krishna Janma Puja, and Gopal Kala, the coming year will be सुखकर and comfortable.

Shravan–Bhadrapad Month (Part 2)
On 12/8, perform Deep Puja (lamp worship). 🪔
Narali Purnima ➕ Saturday combination 🧘: Prepare sweet rice / coconut rice and karanji. It is not necessary to observe a fast. However, the scriptural auspicious time for Raksha Bandhan is from 27/8 at 5:12 PM until 28/8 at 9:24 AM. After that, the full-moon period ends. Offer the coconut on the evening/night of 27/8. Puja can be performed until 1:00 PM on 28/8. (The Raksha Bandhan Abhijit Muhurat is from 5:47 AM to 8:37 AM on 28/8.)
4/9 – Shri Krishna Janmashtami: During the fast, cucumber, root vegetables, and curd are allowed.
5/9 – Gopalkala: Mix chapati + bhakri + curd + buttermilk + butter + jaggery + biscuits + toast/khari + sprouted grains + poha + green chilli or chilli powder, offer it as naivedya, and then eat it as prasad.
From 14/9 to 19/9, use more leafy vegetables, cucumber, field beans, and kakratole. On 15/9, if the vegetables are available, they may be used for Rishi Panchami. (Some people recite the Gajanan Vijay chapter on Gajanan Maharaj Jayanti.) On the evening of 17/9, fenugreek vegetable with bhakri is excellent for the invocation of Gauri.
18/9 – Have spicy, flavorful food.
19/9 evening – Pithla and bhakri.
During this period, burn camphor in the sacred fire in the evening. Coconut may be offered/cracked on Saturdays, except when it is Amavasya or Purnima.
🙏 Namaskar. This is an effort to make the period from 14/8 to 29/9 auspicious.
Do whatever is possible. It is believed that this helps maintain inner strength and inspiration until the month of Chaitra.
There is more to come… I will certainly provide information and guidance for Pitru Paksha and Navratri as well. 🙏
